As part of Ukraine Rise Together project, we are committed to actively seeking opportunities to assist Ukrainian teachers currently residing in Sweden under the Temporary Protection Directive.
In addition to offering a tailored Swedish language course created specifically for educators, we organized a comprehensive study visit to a local Swedish school and facilitated a professional meeting for teachers and education professionals. The next step in our initiative involved arranging a study visit to Stockholm University.
During this time, the university was accepting applications for a free course titled "An introduction to the Swedish school and education system for teachers from other countries" from the Swedish National Agency for Education.
Johanna Koivunen delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the course details, allowing all participants to engage in live discussions and pose questions. Following the presentation, participants were treated to an insightful tour of the university campus.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Stockholm University for providing us with the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the course curriculum. Additionally, we express our gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and engagement throughout the process.
If you have any suggestions or ideas on how we can further support Ukrainian teachers in integrating into the workplace, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email hello@helpinchange.org
