and job search in Sweden

The Care in Change Mentorship program is funded by the European Social Fund. Our goal is to help refugees from Ukraine who are covered by the EU's Temporary Protection Directive with integration
into the Swedish labor market
2nd wave start date
April 17th
Duration
4 months
Location
Stockholm
What does the program involve?

Our industry specialists are going to provide a variety of workshops, such as where to look for a job in Sweden or how to prepare yourself for a job interview.

Program participants, mentees, will get a better understanding of what kind of specialists are needed and how they can get the most out of their previous work experience.

Throughout the whole program mentees will be provided with a mentor's support along with support from the program administrators.

We believe that these efforts will help the participants to integrate into the Swedish labor market thus achieve the main goal of this program.

Mentorship program in details

The first wave of the Care in Change mentorship program started in January and will end in May 2023. Now we have a wonderful group of mentees from different parts of Ukraine. All of them are from different age groups and have a variety of experiences and professions. The average age of our mentees is 30-45 years, but it is possible to apply for the program when you are 18 years old.

The first group by its own example shows that age does not matter. Whether you are 18 or 50 +, everyone here has one common goal – to integrate into Swedish society, learn a language and start working in Sweden.

Mentees' professional background

  • Trade workers and logisticians
  • Beauty service representatives
  • Accountants and financiers
  • Heads of departments
  • Business analysts
  • Business owners
  • Aviation workers
  • Event-managers
  • Photographers
  • HR-specialists
  • Tax authorities
  • ІТ workers
  • Designers
  • Engineers
  • Teachers
  • Lawyers

Throughout the whole program mentees have assigned mentors who help them to understand the Swedish system. Mentors respond to any requests – from simple conversations about the experience of living and working in Sweden to CV creating or updating and attending networking events. In addition to communicating with mentors, mentees attend workshops in order to understand the Swedish labor market and prepare themselves for job search in Sweden.
